Notes

My fave pattern again! This time adding in some cables and mashing up with the Wonderful Wallaby! This is gonna be good…

Knitting the size 6, but using main needles 1 size smaller than pattern calls for, as per suggested needle on the yarn label. I thought about knitting the 4, but I’d like this to last more than one season.

I started twice, because I really didn’t like the zig-zag cables like I thought I would. I am happy about that decision!

Notes:
Back:
Twisted German Cast On, counts as row 1.
Ribbing 12 rows.
(K6, p2)x4, k2, (p2, k6)x4
Repeat this row, knitting knits and purling purls, 3 times. Work cables on row 5, then repeat to for one more row.
Start sleeve shaping on row 67.
Start shoulder shaping on row 99.

Front:
Twisted German Cast On, counts as row 1.
Ribbing 12 rows.
K6, p2, k2, p2, (k6, p2)x2, k10, (p2, k6)x2, p2, k2, p2, k6.
Repeat this row, knitting knits and purling purls, 3 times. Work cables on row 5, then repeat to for one more row.
Place dental floss on row 14 to mark center 42 sts (for pocket placement).
After knitting front to 48 rows, place all sts on holder.
In row 14 (marked), pick up the 42 pocket sts, and knit across them, in pattern. Decrease on 3rd row, and every odd row, a total of 8 times (16sts decreased).
Decrease every other odd row 3 times (6 sts decreased, 22 total decreases).
Work even 4 rows.
Row 49: Work across, knitting one pocket st with one front st for the remaining 20 pocket sts, when you come to them.
Continue to row 66, as for back.
Work armholes decreases, splitting for neck on row 69.

Sleeves:
Rib 12 rows, start 6 row cable repeat, increasing on row 1, twisting on row 5. 9 increases total, 66 rows before armhole shaping starts.

I should have written it down right away, but I didn’t. Now I don’t remember exactly what adaptations I made to the hood…but it did come out pretty good. :)
