With baby season and Valentines’ Day approaching, I am going to try out a new pattern. I normally crochet afghans (not a fan of the “wrong side” knitting produces, much less noticeable wrong side in crochet), but I thought I’d give some knitted lace a try! If I knit a square, and I still don’t like the back, no biggie. I’ll either rip the square or figure out something else to do with it.

Notes: Design good, but I cannot say that I will repeat any pattern with a k4tog in the third row! BUT, that was the only part of this pattern that made me pause…and there is the possibility that I will knit it again. Never say never, right?

If I do make an afghan with this square, I will not do a 3x7 on the motifs…probably 3x5 or 3x6 motifs would make a more squared square… Because this is wool yarn, I was able to block this pretty square, but I wouldn’t want to work that hard on an afghan!
