Squares will be 28st x 32 rows.

I am going to knit this all in one piece, in a single color, and I may add a border to keep it from curling as I go. I’ve decided that 22 stitches is too small a square, and mine will be 28 (29 when using images from Kris Knits), so I’ve cast on enough for 5 squares + 4sts (in seed stitch) on either side for a border.

I then knit 6 rows in 1x1 seed stitch. I will probably also alter the placement of the different textures. Lookout, I’m going “rogue” on this one!

March 27, 2014 - I’ve knit more than half of this blanket now, and I am loving it! It is fiddle-y to work different charts in the same row, but I am really loving the texture it provides. Hopefully baby will enjoy this soft yarn and the many textures in her blanket as she grows…

I finished this one up with 6 rows 1x1 seed stitch, then bound off and crocheted sl1, ch1 border around the whole thing. I think it turned out FABU! Can’t wait to wash it and deliver to the granny-to-be!

The dishcloth “photos” on the blocks are a hand, ABC, butterfly, kite, hearts down the center, rattle, ladybug, large flower, baby bottle, bunny, posies, 123, and little feet! I think the color in the top photo is closest…it’s a sage green. :) Love it!
