Made these a couple of years ago as one of my first crochet projects and have loved using them around the house. Like socks and pens, though, they tend to vanish. When I searched for the pattern to make some more, Siouxsie Stitches blog had also vanished. I used the photos saved here on Ravelry, my memory from working the project years ago, and my own remaining coasters from that project to figure out how to make another. I was surprised how quickly it all came back to me. I hope nobody minds if I post what I remember here for my own reference in the future.

Select color for center of flower.
Chain three.
DC in 3rd st from hook. (1st st on chain.) Use stitchmarker on 3rd st on chain, if desired.
Repeat to create a ring of 11 DCs + the original chain in first st.
Close loop with SS. (12 sts.)
Chain three, mark top with stitchmarker if desired.
Two DCs in each of the 12 stitches of the original circle.
Again, close with SS. (24 sts.)
Chain three, move stitchmarker. DC into same st. as chain. DC into next st. Put two DCs in the next st.
Repeat, single DC and two DCs in alternating sts.
Close with SS again, and cut yarn and pull through.
(36 sts.)
Select petal yarn and tie on at next stitch. (Yarn ends get worked in with petals.)

Skip a st.
DCx5 in next st.
Skip a st.
SC in next st.

Repeat steps btwn ** 9 times until petals encircle the coaster.
Close with SS and pull through. Cut and weave in end.
