Cast on using a stretchy cast on for ribbing that I found on youtube. I can’t remember what it was called but it is really nice and stretchy!

This is the second time I have made this hat. The last one I made was one of the first major knitting projects I ever did. Back then I didn’t know as much about yarn as I do now. Especially how different fibres are suited to different projects.

I had bought some red wool to make my sister a hat and I loved how it behaved in that shape. I also had plenty left over so decided to make myself another hat too.

I originally intended on entering this into the Gold Coast Show, but didn’t have enough time to get it finished before entries closed.
