So… I REEEEEEALLY wanted the dragon’s head and tail, but I also reeeeeeeeallly wanted more of a shawl than a scarf… so I am combining the two.

I knit the Dragon’s Head from “The Dragon’s Tale” as it is written/charted in the pattern. Once I completed the chart, I simply picked up the “Dragonflight” pattern starting at row 17.

To Ease In:
I started adding the body sts (as written) on row 23 of the Dragon’s Head. (I borrowed one edge stitch to treat as an edge st. Then I increased my edge st count to 3 over those first 3 rows (adding 1 for each RS row)-- only on the body increase side of the head. I repeated this process on the outside edge of the Dragon’s Head when I switched to the Dragonflight chart.

After sitting on this and knitting very little at a time over the last two years, I’ve decided I don’t like my yarn choice. I will revisit again when I find a better substitute. This yarn is delicious and I’d rather use it for something it’s better suited for. :)
