Dec 28-- wound the yarn and cracked open the beads… Can’t wait to start!

Dec 29-- Three. Hour. Cast on. Omgoodness sooooo long-- but it looks incredibly polished already and well worth the effort. Now the long journey across the first row beading Every. Single. Stitch.

But it’s sooooo pretty….

Jan 8-- Ok.. once lace pattern gets going, this could be acceptable TV knitting if there are no other distractions… and it’s a rerun. It’s tougher since the lace is worked on both sides, but if you can read your lace, it’s predictable and easy to figure out where you are if you lose track. I’m loving the way it’s looking so far-- Beautiful stitch definition with this yarn! Not sure how the colors are going to play out yet, but I am predicting more of a mottled look than stripey (YAY!)

FINAL NOTES:
Love this pattern-- so pretty and it flies once you finish the lace edging. One thing I would change if I had it to do again is that I would knit the Bind Off tighter-- even though she notes not to work it too tight. I tend to knit loosely, but I made sure to knit this BO looser than I normally would. As a result it rolls terribly and I needed to pin it out entirely during blocking… Ugh! Otherwise, I anticipate love at first drape!

(Also noted that I popped one thread during blocking. I have only found one end of it so far, so I will need to hunt for and repair it as soon as the blocking is complete.)
