Notes

One became two, and finally a set of four!

I worked a crochet chain cast-on (32 stitches for a 4” edge) to match the slip stitch sides and the bind-off. This necessitated smaller needles (2.25mm for coaster #1, 1.75mm for coaster #2) for the cast on, and an initial knit row to force the chain to roll towards the knit (right) side. I then switched to larger needles (2.75mm) after a couple of rows.

Each coaster took only an evening to complete (usually while watching streamed shows online), but I worked on each one in between other projects. The final coaster was completed 13 Jul 2020 (project start/complete dates were for the first coaster).

I hate working linen stitch on large projects, but for small items it’s perfectly fine.

Each coaster used 5g of Noro Taiyo Sock.
