Notes

This turned out to be a good pattern to knit while binge-watching multiple streamed shows. Once finished, it was hand-washed it and line-dried and the fringe pretty much twisted on its own, though I gave some twists a little help to make them even. The shawl is surprisingly lightweight.

I modified the increases/decreases to give a ridge to bottom edge.

  • I wanted a slip stitch top edge so I did a loose long tail cast-on of 7. This counted as my first K row (Step 2).
  • Top edge also includes two-stitch garter to reduce rolling.
  • I started decreasing once I had 82 stitches on my needles.
  • Oddly enough, I had 19g of the second skein remaining once I finished. Both sides of the shawl are of equal length.

Oops, in the finished photo, the garter edge rolled to the back. It’s there, really!
