6/9/10 Made some more of these today to include in the pattern! Fun!
3/21/10 Details. Made 2 sets of these last night. Chain 36. Slip stitch in 18th chain from hook. Sl st 10. Chain 3 or 4. Place heart shaped alphabet bead by stringing from the bottom- up and onto the original chain. Push bead up under the chains you just made. Slip st as close to the bead as possible. Sl st in each ch to end. Cut end and pull through. Tie knot and cut 1/4” end. These are my favorite so far. With size 30 thread and Susan Bates #10 needle.

Also made one this way: Chain 36. Sl st in 18th chain from hook. Sl st 8 more times. Then sc, then dc. Cut thread about 12-18” from hook- pull through last loop. Thread bead with both ends- original chain and thread you just cut and pulled through. Push bead up next to last dc, pulling cut thread through bead to smooth, too. Insert hook in back loop as close to bead as possible. Pull up loop with cut thread, pull up loop again. Dc in next ch, sc in next chain. Sl st to end. Chain 1. Pull through. Tie off and cut leaving 1/4” end.

12/3/09 Details: Made a set of 8 of these tonight using size 20 crochet cotton. Chain 21- skip 8 ch- sl st in neither loop- but the bump on the back- all the way to the end. Tie a knot. Thread needle with both. String a bead. Tie slip knot- chain 3 or 4 with size 3 hook. Pull thread through chain and tighten. Trim ends to 3/8”

10/4 Washed these this morning after taking pics, so they were pretty curly. Hopefully they’ll straighten out since they’ve been washed. I will take another picture if they’re dramatically straighter. I’m sure I will periodically make more of these…

10/3 I like to use multiple colors in rainbow hues. For my project- I put them on my needles in order- Roy G. Biv and repeat. Then I always know where I am in the row (esp for doilies)- or approximately where I am anyway.

Sept, 09 used a size 4 hook, I think. I’ll get a pic of these next time I have the camera out!!

Details: These are a chain of 15 or so- then skip 7 or 8 chains and single crochet in each chain st to the end. Run both thread ends through whatever bead you like and knot. Works better if you have a small opening bead so it doesn’t slip over your knot easily. :)

6/1/10 There are more crocheted stitch markers here on Ravelry that I recently found. They are so cool! Check these out: mullarkea’s Stitch Markers (she gave me permission to link to hers. ;D )
