I have used Kate Davies’ method on reinforcing and cutting, because I saw how well it looked on Fibula’s cardigan.
Because the yarn is hand spun and very slick I did reinforce with 2 seams on either side of the cut, with a sewing machine. After wash and cut I saw I really hadn’t had to to do, but then I know next time.

I am using the fiber I spun on Tour de Fleece 2013, grey merino and green Polwarth for this project.

I am knitting the smallest size, but the gauge is way off so it will end up more like for someone like 2-3 years old.
