Notes

Shedir is written for a thinner yarn. I am therefore modifying the pattern so I have 5 repeats per round instead of 8. I casted on 80 stitches and started following the chart.

For the ribbing, I knitted 7 rows instead of nine. I skipped rows 8 and 9 and kept following the chart from rows 10 to 28.

I only did two repeats of the cable pattern, which means I skipped rows 29 to 52. I then knitted rows 53 through 66 following the chart instructions.

To finish the hat, I modified the last rows. Although by now the hat has 21 fewer rows, I am using the same row numbering to avoid confusion. For uneven rows, repeat instructions five times per round.

67: centered double decrease (CDD), cable right, P4, cable left.
68: K2 * P6 K3 4 times * P6
69: CDD P6
70: K * P6 K 4 times * P5
71: CDD P4
72: K * P4 K 4 times * P3
73: 71: CDD P2
74: K * P2 K 4 times * P
75: CDD

Follow finishing instructions on pattern. The only difference is that there will be five final stitches instead of four.
