I love how this turned out! I made it more shallow so I can wear more like a scarf.

Yarns are just gorgeous soft and warm. Pattern could’ve had a little more explanation for a beginner, but it was pretty clear what had to happen. Chart was good, clear and easy. A very satisfying knit.

I needed to crack on with some more shawls for the 12shawls2012, so started this one quick!

I know this pattern requires fingering weight but I thought this lovely worsted would make a good wintery version, it’s just beautiful soft yarn with the most intense exquisite colours.

I’m waiting for more yarn to arrive from the US, the lovely Julie very kindly helped me out of a tight spot, (ran out of yarn).

the Colours really remind me of the Hubble scope picture of the Large Magellanic Cloud (LMC), one of our neighbour galaxies (1st pic) the 2nd Hubble pic is Canis Majoris
