Notes

Past the heels now. I ended up doing the fish lips kiss heel, it looks great, fits great, too. 42 stitches is a big heel, I really doubted it would fit, but it does. Now I’m on the home stretch.

Going well, the fit appears to be excellent. 42 instep stitches and 32 sole stitches, a good compromise between the small and medium sizes. I think I’ll do some side increases before I get to the heel mark, then it will be time to do an 84 stitch leg, then the afterthought heel can be knit in the round, which will look pretty in this yarn.

I just can’t do vanilla socks! I started these thinking I would try out the Fish Lips Kiss heel, but then pretty quickly started getting bored of straight stockinette. So I pulled back to the top of the toe and started doing the chevron pattern from Jaywalker.

I have the right gauge but the foot seems baggy so far. I know everyone says this pattern should not be knit with negative ease, as socks normally are, but what about positive ease???
