Blogged about it here
While knitting this I enjoyed the first seasons of Supernatural - thus the project title :)
It’s done! Shrinking Levenwick in the dryer worked like a charm :D The fabric is the tiniest bit felted now and very dense, but the fit is almost perfect. After all I didn’t attach the pocket because it looked rather unflattering.
This project is a big disappointment :( After washing and the lightest blocking (collar and buttonhole band) it grew huge. Especially the raglan line is way to big and bulges in a funny way.
Since I don’t want to frog it I’ll try to put it in the dryer and shrink it.It will have to wait until my holidays since I don’t own a dryer.
Mods:
- My gauge is way off for this project, but 4,5mm needles are the smallest needles with which I like the fabric in Drops Nepal. So after some math I decided to knit the smallest size and hope to get something around M (37”).
- No waist shaping
- Lengthend the body by 2cm
- For the left font band I did 7 rows instead of 3 to prevent flipping and add more of a “real” button band
- Long sleeves
- Garter stitch border on the pocket
