Notes

Mods:
knit in the round and steeked to ease twisted rib
started with 297 sts (largest size) to accomodate for my hips
went down to third-largest size for waist and upper body by decreasing 4 sts every 6th round
continue in the round till under-arm split, continue back and front seperately (want the same steek-bulk for the whole front, no steek at the arms)
long sleeves (+60 rounds), longer body (+100 rounds)
tubular cast-off for sleeves
wider button bands, ribbed neck band

Scaling the lace-bib part for large sizes:
according to pattern, lace bib is same number of repeats (7) for all sizes thus looks proportionally small in larger sizes compared to smaller sizes.

--> Increased lace portion to 9 repeats = 10 st from armhole (smallest size: 7repeats=8 st from armhole.)

in order to synchronize neck shaping with 8 lace repeats (1smaller than largest) biased bind-off:6/6/6/4/4/4, thus binding off four more stitches. will be ok for I want ribbed neck band anyway.
steek st stopped with beginning of neck shaping, after that finishing separately.

No way the pattern asks for 22mm buttons. My buttons are 20mm and way bigger than any I have seen so far on any foto…-->need wider button bands (40 mm)

Had to re-knit button bands. Did this by knitting them seperately and sewing them on, because fabric was already rather stressed from knitting-on and ripping-out again. Reinforced button bands on the back side with grossgrain ribbon, at the same time hiding away steeks. Added plastic snaps, “real” buttons are just sewn on for decorative purposes. (No buttonholes, no stress)

January 24th, 2013: first sleeve finished with tubular cast-off sleeve tight but hopefully not too tight. For full length sleeves added 60 rounds of stockinette after final decrease, then 40 rounds of twisted rib with smaller needle (!)( 2,75 mm), then tubular bind-off as described in the link.

This took me just over two months to finish (including several re-dos).
The yarn shrinked quite a bit length-wise after blocking, such that sleeves are a bit short for my taste. Should have measured the swatch after washing… ahem.
Still, even though arms are very tight I like the overall fit very much. Beautiful, well written pattern.
