Notes

RAINBOW ALL THE THINGS!

Title is from a Maya Angelou quote: “be the rainbow in somebody else’s cloud.”

Pattern: very clear and easy to follow, as always! This is the perfect sweater to customize as well.

Yarn: so soft and the colors are awesome! I love the drape of the fabric at this gauge. Perfect for a lighter summer sweater.

Mods:

  • cast on for size 36, but stopped front and back raglan increases early, so there were only 98 sts on both front and back before dividing for sleeves, and 204 sts total after putting sleeves on hold.
  • Different stripe sequence: Worked 8 rounds (1”) of each color in reverse rainbow order.
  • Worked 8 rounds even before starting decreases, then decreased every 6th round 5x (180 sts).
  • Worked 8 rounds even, then increased (mirrored M1 inc) every 8th row 9x (216 sts).
  • Picked up extra sleeve sts, for total of 76 and only decreased down to 70 sts.
  • Twisted rib at hems and neck. Did not decrease needle size for body hem.

Total knit time: approximately 16 hours

Model measurements: 36-28-38
