Another test for Dee! Pattern was extremely well written, fun to knit, and I adore the contiguous sleeves. This time I knit the size 36, because this pattern already has about 2” of ease built into it.

Mods (designer approved):
Note that I made these mods to draft pattern--final pattern may have different measurements.

• knit an extra 1.5 inches before starting body colorwork so it would hit at right spot (4.5” from underarm).
• knit an extra 2 inches on each sleeve (I have monkey arms) for total length of 19” from underarm.
• knit an extra .5” on body hem ribbing to be a little closer match for sleeves; due to this and the extra 1.5” above, dress is 2” longer, for a total length of 31” from underarm
• 3 colors instead of 2
• EZ’s stretchy bind-off on sleeves (this was totally unnecessary!)

Project title is ancient Greek for “in remembrance of.” The peacock was sacred to the goddess Hera. In the myth of Io, Hera has the 100-eyed giant Argos guard Io from her husband, Zeus. But Zeus sends Hermes to lull all of Argos’s eyes to sleep, and then slay him. In memory of her beloved servant, Hera put all of his eyes on the peacock’s tail.
