Notes

This scarf was the first lace piece I ever tried. It was especially important to me because it was also the first useable lace weight yarn that I ever spun.

The pattern was relatively easy. I think if I made this scarf again I would try to find a way to make the edging on both sides have the same linear look to it. I seemed to have a problem with one of the edges not curving quite as nicely as the other side.

As for the yarn, it lays very nicely and is relatively even in weight and thickness throughout. I’ve noticed that there seems to be a problem with it keeping it’s shape for a long length of time. It tries to fold back inwards to how it laid before it was blocked. I wonder if this has something to do with the twist in the yarn.

Yarn is 100% Falkland wool, dyed kettle style with coffee grounds.
