Notes

09/07/2014:
Started this as soon as the yarn was delivered to me. The pattern is easy to read, and it’s a nice change of pace to start a shawl from the bottom and work my way up.
NOTE: I’m not sure how I feel about not having any type of border on the edge - especially with a stockinet based lace pattern. I’m a little concerned that the edge will roll.

This yarn feels SO good in my fingers!!! I’m in love with the deep color in the wine. When it’s knitting in garter it is incredibly soft and had a lot of give.

I love the short rows for the shawl pattern - they make decreases very easy and clean looking. I also like that this will mean that the ends aren’t at a ‘point.’ There will actually be something their to hold onto if needed when wearing the garment.

09/12/2014:
Shawl is complete. The yarn was an absolute pleasure to work with. I HIGHLY recommend it. The pattern was incredibly easy to read - nothing was over thought. This is probably the smoothest I’ve ever had a project go - finished it in less than a week.

The sides don’t roll like I was afraid they would. Although I’m still curious to see what the shawl would look like using one of the colors as a border all the way up. I think it would give it a very clean look. Personally, I would use a 5 stitch garter on each side and slip the first stitch on each row purl wise.

Will block this weekend.
