Oak Barrel is a 2x8-row repeat and Syncopation Socks is 2x6. I’ll split the difference and make these a 2x7-row repeat and use another heel.

Starting with 72 stitches, but with the stretch it may be more than needed.

10/22/14 - I’ve been at the gussets for weeks, waiting for a foot tracing to decide on which heel to use. Not getting much cooperation!

11/22/14 I switched to 2.25mm needles approx. (2in.?) before heel. Added 4-stitch gusset per side. Started heel at (8.75in?).

12/23/14 - Went with FLK heel without benefit of template. If it doesn’t fit, it will be donated to homeless! He was warned :)
