Just finished and I love it!. made this for Mish’s New Year’s Eve birthday.

Firsts with this project: learned the alternating cable cast on and like how it looks; nice and stretchy; great for hats.
This is also my first cable project. Easy and enjoy it.

MODS: Only did 12 rows of the ribbing and then proceeded with the body of the hat. No other mods; followed the pattern in every way except what I noted for the ribbing.

PATTERN: Very easy so far. This one is addicting. Turned out very nice. Easy to follow, easy to do, and results in a great gift. Fits well. Will definitely make more of these.

YARN: Had to pick something that would stand up to machine wash/dry for this person so that’s why I went with such a high amount of acrylic. Despite the acrylic, this is proving easy to work with and even feels nice.

NEEDLE: Because I didn’t have an interchangeable 16” cord, I used the trusty magic loop (47” cord).
