Finished. I really like the finished product and can see using this pattern again for other gifts. Mine is scarf size as opposed to shawl size.

Thank you sketchbook from Orange Flower Yarn for this nice, easy pattern that looks so pretty.

MODS:Held yarn (orange) double. Decided to add a few stripes of white mohair (leftover stash) and to finish it with a mohair garter edge. Made mine a tad larger to use up both yarns. Didn’t do the crochet edge.

NEEDLE SIZE: I’m a tight knitter since switching to continental so I really should have gone up a needle size for this one, at least until I get more accustomed to adjusting my tension using the continental method.

Cast off using Jeny’s Stretchy Bind Off: excellent for a shawl or scarf and looks really nice too. Took ages though.

PATTERN: Easy pattern. Especially like that she uses M1L and M1R instead of YO at the centre -- much prefer this to the centre YO holes. I am liking the way this simple pattern knits up. Will definitely make this again.

YARN: Love the Sandnes Mohair but absolutely not so much the Confetti Superwash (bought it on sale so I won’t do that again): 3 knots in one ball! & 1 in the other. Scratchy, even after washing for something like this. Would be just fine, however for mittens or fingerless gloves.

FO was all curled up but wet blocking put everything into shape.
