I love my Rikki headband so much that I went out to buy something special for making this Rikki hat.

YARN: I adore, adore, adore Mad tosh anything and yarns like this one are the reasons why. They are masters at dyeing beautiful colours and this feels so darn good in my hands.

PATTERN: Easy to follow, appealing result. The garter is squishy and cozy.

MODS: My only moderations were minor. CO 96, using magic loop as usual. Since I didn’t want a slouchy, I began decreases at the 7” mark.

Looks so nice, feels great.

PHOTOS NOTE: the white ‘streak’ on the finished photos is the bars of sunlight on the hat, not part of the yarn.

Notes for future: I think I’ll use a US 3 needle for the brim next time but everything else the same as this one.

2019 update: I’m still wearing this and it’s so lovely.
