These socks are my homage to the Saskatchewan prairie - the land in which I have now lived the longest.

Size medium (64sts) with 2.25mm needles instead of 2.5mm. I did 4 extra heel rows to compensate for the smaller gauge and did a modified rounded toe. Otherwise, no modifications.

The pattern is gorgeous and not too difficult (although you DO have to pay attention), but very slow going with all the twisted cables. I can usually whip up a pair of socks in 2 weeks; this one took almost a month (working on the socks exclusively for 2-3 weeks).
