7/26/09: Wove in the ends and have decided not to block it. The leaves have this lovely pouchy shape! So happy to be done with this one.
7/25/09: Knitting is DONE. Of course, I’ve misplaced the pattern and thus needed to figure out the last 5 rows myself. Worked out fine! Now I just need to block it.
7/16/09: 8 stitch markers left. 2 days ago, Mom walked past it and snapped the attached thread (but I didn’t lose any stitches), and there was so little yardage left that I knew I wouldn’t make it with that ball anyway. Started a new (4th) ball and am heading for the finish line.
6/16/09: 21 stitch markers left. It has gone from grey froth to interesting pattern to OH MAN I LOVE THIS. And it gets faster--YES!
6/15/09: Turns out I can’t count--I was a lot farther in than I’d thought! It is going faster and faster. 5 min/row last night, woo! Working on 2nd ball.
6/9/09: 4 repeats in, and it’s going well. Sad that I’m only about 5% through the repeats, but since each repeat gets shorter, it should go faster and faster. It’s starting to look more like lace and less like grey froth.
5/31/09: fifth time’s the charm, it seems! I got past row 10 with only one extra stitch at the end of one row. Using stitch markers ever 10 stitches has made a huge difference (and counting over and over). I’m excited!
5/27/09: Will try to revive this one again. We’ll see.
7/11: dug this out to try again.
If this pattern doesn’t kill me… I’ve started it 4 times, I think. Once on too-small needles, other times I miscounted or otherwise screwed up. Starting with, what is it? 255 stitches is rough. I do love this pattern, though, and look forward to doing its nemesis, Kiri.
