Notes

This is for Ewe and Brew’s 2016 Summer Idaho Tour for the month of July. For this month, the project needs to be based on our favorite movie and one of my favorite movies is Twister.

Using fingering weight yarn instead of worsted.

CO first three stitches using the Provisional CO method found here.

I needed to use a minimum of 500 yards of yarn for this project so I added an extra section in the Body as well as an extra chart repeat on the Border.

After knitting an extra section of the Body I was off by two stitches. To adjust, I worked the first chart row until the last 7 stitches (should have been 5 stitches) and K2tog, then 1 KFB (instead of twice), and K3 which got me back to the correct number of stitches for the remainder of the chart.

After the Border section I had just enough yarn to work only Row 1 (RS) of the Edge section before I had to bind off on the next WS row.

I used Jeni’s Surprisingly Stretchy Bind-Off.

This pattern really adapts easily to using more yardage for a larger shawl.
