I cast on using size US 7 needles and the German Twisted Cast On method, and knitting magic-loop.

I used Ten Ten’s modifications.

After knitting the brim, I switched to the US size 9 needles.

I did a total of 3 sets of the 8-row pattern. It measured 5 1/2” when I began the decreasing.

It fits okay, but is too short for me, which is okay as it will be going to charity, and will surely fit someone. After knitting several of these, I’ve decided that for myself and my somewhat big noggin, a total of 4 of the 8- row pattern repeats is best.
For knitting for a slightly smaller head, I will use smaller needles and do a total of 3 of the 8-row pattern repeats.

Hat weighs 62 grams.

I do love this pattern, both the construction of it and the look of the finished product.
