Notes

1/20 - using the yarn doubled, so even though I’m listing two skeins I’m using them at the same time. Real yardage will be around 880.

1/25 - considering adding another repeat…I’ve finished the first four pineapples and although I am working with a K hook it is still looking as though it is going to end up smaller than I want. Lace can be deceiving that way though…still, I am going to add another repeat before I start the edging.

1/28 - chugging along. Accidentally made the 2nd set of pineapples one row bigger, but that may work to my benefit. I’m going to do the same thing with the 3rd set of pineapples and then see if I still need to add another repeat.

2/1 - have decided against the other repeat. Have started into the final rows, closing up the 10 pineapples and starting the 11 webs of the edging. Discovered that one of my 10 pineapples is the normal size…woops…too far along though, I don’t want to frog it. I will be able to make it work w/ blocking, I’m sure. The color changes are subtle and very lovely.

2/4 - done and blocked…WOW. It never ceases to amaze me how much blocking makes a difference in those lace stitches. It probably doubled in size!! I’ve also given this one to another of my younger sisters…she couldn’t stop drooling.

2/5 - pics added. 2nd photo is a blocking photo.
