These freeform crochet parts were meant to become feathers for the big Alchemy bird, for my art project about bullying. Part of them I have used already in the wings of this Alchemy bird and I will use more in the tail. I also used some of these feathers for my origami bird.

I have also made other feathers from sprang and with weave-knitting. And during a CKAL of the ifff-group at Ravelry I made a lots of paisleys and spirals, which I also changed into feathers. I am now combining all these feathers…

Still I needed more feathers, a bit different. Therefore I have used my double-sided hook (photos on top). I outlined it with sc with picots.
I just love my double-sided hook! Both sides are nice. The photo of the red one and the blue one together shows the look at both sides. Both were made with the same yarn!
