Notes

I started with the magic ball scrumple exercise at the international freeform forum ifff, but I misunderstood the instructions, so something else was born…

I increased far too many stitches, so the form started curling upon itself. But I did not mind - I decided that I wanted to use the curling effect, making a lovely feather (paisley) for the big alchemy bird I am making for my art project about bullying.

For the story behind the bird see my website - English text scroll down.

I started a new scrumble, but this time I did the increases every other row. This resulted in another lovely start for a new paisley. I added some knitting to complete the paisley form and then did the last round with the crochet slip-stitch (which is actually the same as the last round in the knitting instructions). Thanks to Melba for the nice knitting instructions!!!

Photos: The little ones were at first - the bigger ones are the newer scrumbles.
