The turquoise bird is part of the series of rainbow birds, made for my art project about bullying. You can read more about his character at my website - section regenboogvogels - scroll down for the English text.

I used the Yil bird pattern of Mathilde Jongbloed, but I did change it a little to fit the character of this bird. Also I knitted the back and belly in several colors in a structured pattern.
