Best ever hat for not causing hat hair - enough reason to knit it (at least) twice. Enough said.

Eh, fourth photo shows what German twisted cast-on looks like (my go-to for all hats now). My first Rikke Hat contains a link to a video that clearly shows how to do this fab cast-on.

The yarn: This is the second time I knit with Old Maiden Aunt’s alpaca (80%) / silk (20%) blend and it’s marvellous. Drapey, lustrous and colour-saturated (in a beautiful semi-precious stone kind of way). Cannot wait to use it again.
