I needed a portable 1-color project to work on while I stayed with my 94-year-old mother-in-law in the hospital for a few nights. This was a pretty mindless yet beautiful project to work on. And I only needed to carry one color of yarn. Jonna Martinez did a video on making this blanket in one color here.
