This shawl came out much smaller than I had hoped. There are instructions on how to make it bigger, but because I have a problem with cables on a reverse stockinette background (ladders show after the cables), and the way I deal with this problem, I ran out of stitch holders so couldn’t make it any bigger. If you look at the next to last photo, that was a wrong side row taken near the end of the shawl but with a lot of the stitch markers removed already. The way I solve the ladder problem can be seen here in Solution #3. But I didn’t wait til the end to latch up the stitch. I did it every wrong side row, so it was quite time-consuming with all the cables in this pattern. I just love shawl patterns with cables, but they are my downfall! I just wish I could get them to look as neat as others I’ve seen, with no ladders at all!
