I’ve had this yarn for a long time and couldn’t figure out what to do with it, because it’s so textured. I just found it the other day in my yarn room and decided, because of the nature of this yarn, to try a simple granny square blanket where I don’t have to go into actual stitches, just the spaces, so I just made a typical granny square and kept going:
Ch4, join to form ring.
Ch3, 2dc in ring, (ch2, 3dc) 3x in ring, ch1, join with sc to top of first ch3.
Ch3, 2dc in space made by sc, [(3dc, ch2, 3dc) in next ch-2 sp] 3x, 3dc in first sp, join as before.
Ch3, 2dc in space made by sc, [3dc in space bet clusters, (3dc, ch2, 3dc) in corner ch-2 sp] around, end with 3dc in first space, join as before.
Continue in this manner.

Finished size: 31” x 31”.

22 granny rounds + 1 round sc in ea st around.

2 days to crochet.
