I used the leaf pattern from this site: http://ambassadorcrochet.com/2011/10/07/fall-pumpkin-leaf... instead of the one referred to in the pattern and I only used the first 2 rows and at that, I modified those slightly.

For the “lids” (except for the flat top one), I worked the increase rnd 6 twice (adjusting sc’s between increases) and then worked the last round 4 times to make a rounded edge that fit over the pumpkin.
For the flat top, I worked round 6 in both loops and did round 7 like round 6, but through back loops. Then the last round, I just sc’d through both loops around.
