I decided to re-block this shawl to see if I could open up the cables a little more. Those photos are the top 6 photos and labeled as such.

4/15/14:
Knit 2 rows (11 sts)
Section 1 rows 1-44 (31 sts)
Section 2 rows 1-20 (41 sts)
Section 3 rows 1-88 (85 sts)

4/16/14:
Section 3 rows 89-116 (99 sts, 45 cables on the outside edge)

At this point, to make the “point” of the shawl a little less pointy and a more rounded point, I did 3 more sets of cables, 4 rows for each cable, but only increased in the first row of each set (rows 117-128, 102 sts)
Then I did 1 complete cable with no increases to level out the point (rows 129-132, 102 sts). Then I started the decrease section but did 3 sets of cables, decreasing only on row 3 (rows 1-12, 99 sts). This was from a suggestion by BeckyFoster in the Crescent Moon Collective Group.1

4/17/14:
Section 4 rows 13-128 (41 sts)
Section 5 rows 1-8 (37 sts)

4/18/14:
Section 5 rows 9-20 (21 sts)
Section 6 rows 1-40 (11 sts)
Final section rows 1-4 (11 sts)

Note: bottom 3 photos show the ladders I was getting to the left of the cables. (I needed these photos to post in the Crescent Moon Collective group, which hosted the KAL.) I changed my method and got rid of the ladders.
