I started with Knit Picks Wool of the Andes Sport yarn in Thirst Heather (green) with a size H (5mm) hook, but didn’t like the way it was coming out (bottom 2 photos). This was my progress with that yarn:

6/8/17: R1-62 (121 sts)

6/9/17: R63-72 (141 sts)

At this point, I frogged the whole thing. I hated the way it looked. Some other testers suggested a smaller hook size, but I decided to also change to a worsted weight yarn, Red Heart Soft in Grey Heather with a G (4.0mm) hook. Will see how this one progresses.

6/11/17: R1-47 (91 sts)

6/12/17: R48-55 (107sts); loopy row; top border R1&2 (done with size E (3.5mm) hook).

I stopped at this point to make it more of a scarf/neckerchief.

Finished size: 36” across x 8.5” long at point.
