I started this stole on July 10, 2008 while visiting my mother in the hospital (out of state). I worked on it while visiting her all day, but it got to be tricky with the beads in a hospital room. So I only knitted on it when I went home at night. Then she died on Aug. 14 and it was put away for a while. When I finally returned home to Louisiana, I picked it up again to finish it. But because this was the project I was working on during her last days, it holds a special place in my heart.
