Nice simple to make cowl with pattern. I added 2 eyelets to the pattern for more of a lace look. Pattern is below.

My first project with baby alpaca. It’s so soft and fuzzy. It feels so great against my skin.

I c/o 80 instead of 72.

Here’s the pattern I used:

Row 1a: knit
Row 2: knit
Row 3: C4f, k1, yo, k2tog, k1
Row 4: knit
Row 5: k4, k1, k2tog, yo, k1
Row 6: knit
Row 7: k1, yo, k2tog, k1, C4f
Row 8: knit
Row 1b: k1, k2tog, yo, k1, k4

Note that 1b is done after the first 8, then you repeat rows 1b-8 until you are satisfied. With the skein I used, I was only able to do the pattern almost 5 times.

The 2nd eyelet created from row 5 & 1b doesn’t show well. Perhaps I should have did a sk1psso, instead of k2tog, however it complimented the diagonals of the c4f to give it better shaping. I guess it worked out in the long run!
