Making a hat for thomas as per his strict instructions :) So I’m swatching like a good little girl.

gives me the following gauge in st st: 8 sts per 5cm

Thomas’ head circumference is 59cm --> cast on 96 sts

Hat band is going to be 1x1 ribbing on 5.5 mm needles

Sadly, the hat still turned out too big! Maybe I should’ve washed the swatches because the hat did grow a bit :(
I tried to remedy it by felting it a bit in the dryer but it primarily shrunk in length, not in circumference. Oh well - it only took me a week to knit it so I will just knit it again casting on only 80 sts this time.
