This was a “empty my uge yarn stock” project so I used 5 colors instead of 3.

This shawl is lovely once finished but I really dig lace and fun stuff, so this endless garter stich was really boring. Yet the result is great, my mum is going to love this ! Now I want one for me but I’ll never find the courage to do it again…

To knit it the right way with 3 colors and do the border with color #3 (here the grey/green)I should have use 3 skeins of each. To do it with the border in color 2 (here white) I think I would have use 4 skeins of it.

I did a uge mod without even knowing it : I lost my printed pattern doing the short rows part and since this was quite easy to remember I didn’t think it was usefull to print it again… So instead of 7 repetitions I did 14, knitting until my shorts rows ‘covered’ entirely the second part (I don’t know if this is quite clear : i’m french and not very fluent in english). Then I did the border in two colors, green then white.
