So I saw this pattern, decided I had to make it today and the only yarn I could get hold of in white, red and black (other than very fine 4ply) was Robin Chunky, so it’s a bit thick and structural, but using the same hook sizes it came out to about 20” in circumference which is the size of my daughter’s head - I’m hoping it fits when she tries it on!

The pattern is great! Really easy to follow and worked up in just one evening/a few hours.

If I were to make another, I’d make the ears a little more pointy at the tops (they are probably more rounded in part due to my thicker yarn), and also I’d sew them slightly further apart. The whiskers could also be sewn better, but I don’t think it’s worth undoing them unless and until I know it fits!

Now I probably need to make another of these in a different colour and add some different eyes and monster teeth or something suitably boyish!
