Quintessential stash-busting project, born out of my fondness for luckyslug ‘s versatile pattern. I find her modern shawl very easy to wear with just about any outfit.

Mods: I started the stripes about 7” down from the cast-on edge and made the edging fairly wide.

Note: Shetland wool is very light-weight and surprisingly warm. It softens quite a bit with a good soak and with daily wear (as I found out after I made a blanket out of it), but merino or angora, it certainly isn’t. I keep this shawl by me at night and sometimes fall asleep wrapped in it, but more sensitive wearers might object.
