Pattern suggests you knit garter stitch sleeve for 4” - I knit garter stitch for 2” then did the purl row (this is where the sleeve will fold up) and then knit 2 more inches in garter stitch. So when folded, the sleeve is 2” instead of 4”.
Then you get to the “fisherman rib pattern” and the directions make absolutely no sense at all because they talk about “chart g” which is not labeled, but is actually the part between a and b. So what you do is follow the chart to arrow b. Then go back to arrow a and work to arrow b, then again go to arrow a and work to end of chart.
The symbol that looks like a breast cancer ribbon and says “inc 1 st twisted knit wise” represents the increased st, not where you start the increase. I.e… The chart shows 2 knit sts, one increase symbol, 2 knit sts, another increase symbol, and then 2 more knit sts. What you actually DO is knit one, k1f&b, k1, k1f&b, knit 2. Or at least that’s what I did.
I CO 70 sts for edges instead of 62.
I divided for the neck at row 49, joined at 117.
Cable pattern worked on rows 37, 45, 53, 61, 69, 77, 85…

Decided to pull this out of storage and finish…. realized I had divided for neck at the wrong place!? Ugh. Seriously?! Probably a good thing I discovered this now and not a couple years ago after I had been working on it for days…

Sad to rip back out to the neck divide (stupid me) but it actually went pretty quickly once I got going on it and i really do like how it turned out! Glad I finally finished it!
