Notes
  • Well, This pattern asks you to divide each skein into 4 sections before you begin knitting. There were multiple places in each skein where two ends were joined, unfortunately the color repeat was interrupted each time - dividing this yarn into similar sections took over an hour!! For such expensive yarn, I expected better quality. Not to mention the fact that the yarn was extremely thin in some places and really fat in others… enough to significantly effect gauge! grr!

3/3/10

  • I decided to work both socks at the same time on 2 sets of dpn, because of the color situation above. Holding my breath to see how these socks turn out!
  • Knit ribbing in cuff on size 2 as called for, however, will use size 1 for the rest of the sock.

3/17/10

  • The sock is actually quite easy to knit, once you get your yarn all set up.
  • Almost down to heel. Socks still feel bigger than they need to be…

4/6/10

  • Finished one sock last night. Toe area is a little looser than I prefer, but otherwise I’m pretty happy with the result! Whew!
  • Will post photos soon!
