This project went through a ton of changes. I don’t know why, but I couldn’t get it right. I think it’s because I just don’t love brown or purple, so it was hard to get inspired. Don’t even know why I started this thing. Oh well, it’s done now and I’m giving it away.

Starting chain 8. Extended single crochet, increasing in the middle of the row, every other row.

Flower accent:

Flower centre:
With brown yarn, ch3, sl st to form
ring.
Work 12 dc into the ring, sl st to first dc.
Work 2 further rows of 12 dc.
Green petals:
join green.
Row 1: 2 sc into front loop of each sc of
previous row.
Row 2: make 3 trebles into each front loop of each stitch of previous row.
Row 3: 3 sc, make a picot (ch 3, sl st to first
ch). Repeat from around.
Fasten off green yarn.
Purple petals:
join purple yarn.
Row 1: Working into unworked back loops of previous work, make an exc, hdc, triple, hdc, exc, and a chain -- in every other back loop around. slip stitch to last one. fasten off yarn.
