Post-Completion Notes

• Got 28 sts/6” on 4.0mm sunstruck needles, 25 rows/4”
• Added waist shaping to body: Removed 6 sts from each side seam at the narrowest point. In retrospect this was too much. A suggestion of a waist would have been enough.
• Removed 2” from sleeve width. Only increased to 15.75” width instead of 17.75”.
• Reversed decreases on armholes so that it’s every 2nd row followed by every 4th row even though it is written the other way around. In retrospect I should have followed the pattern. The shoulders are a little a tight, and I see now what the designer was doing. Should never question Kathy Zimmerman:)
• Afterwards, I determined that my gauge measurement was wrong (as usual) and the sweater came out a little tight. I blocked it bigger.
• Added a hood in reverse stockinette, by picking up all the neck stitches.
• Hood dimensions: Picked up 106 sts. Increased over 6.75” length to a 24” hood diameter. Knit straight for 5”, Decreased every 2nd row for 1.25” at the top of the hood. Used 3 needle bind off to join the remaining stitches on the 2 halves of the hood.
