since this is my first circular shawl, i’m thinking i’ll keep it simple, working the increase rounds with yarn overs and stockinette for all other rounds, and adding glintz by crocheting on sparkly beads at different points.

getting from cast on to 244 sts is taking maybe 8 hours of solid knitting time, so maybe i’ll get this done before the end of november? or at least to the point where I’m starting the knit-on border ….

er, yeah, so … total time on shawl, knitting away, was around 80 hours. the beads have been the most commented piece of the work, but by the 3rd round of putting them on, i was so ready to be done with them. on the rounds with 576 stitches, i switched it up with crocheting the edging - dc and shells.

John’s Aunt Mary thought I told her I was knitting a circular “saw” and that earcorn tickled us so that I made sure the bind off was done with crochetted shells for the “teeth” of the “saw”.
